Roger Waters to Headline 9/11 Conspiracy Conference in NYC
Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters and comedian Jimmy Dore are set to headline a four-day 9/11 conspiracy theory conference in New York City, during the 25th anniversary of the attack.

Hosted by the International Center for 9/11 Justice, “Turning the Tide: 9/11 25 Years Later” will take place in East Harlem’s El Museo del Barrio. The museum is publicly subsidized by the City of New York, but it appears to be renting space to the group, not sponsoring the event.
The event includes a smattering of speakers, many of whom have alleged the U.S. and Israel profited from and were involved in orchestrating the 9/11 attacks.
Organizers with 9/11 Justice have described their mission as creating a “post-post-9/11 world,” in which the U.S. is no longer “shaped by the false official account of 9/11.”
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Waters addressed allegedly “false accounts” of how the Twin Towers fell, claiming their collapse was due to “controlled demolitions.”
“It fell down because it was demolished, and the question is, ‘Who placed the explosives in it? Who pressed the button?’” Waters asked Carlson during the interview.
Theories that bombs brought down the towers have been repeatedly debunked over the last two-and-a-half decades. Congress led an investigation in the aftermath of the attacks to determine why and how the World Trade Center towers collapsed.
S. Shyam Sunder, the civil engineer who led the investigation, found that the airplane impacts damaged the buildings’ exterior and interior columns as well as portions of the floors. Those impacts dislodged fireproofing, exposing the structural steel framing to the fires. As the steel and floors heated, they lost their strength and stiffness. The floors began to sag, pulling the exterior columns inward until they ultimately failed.
The towers weren’t designed to accommodate the failure of such a large upward section, so it “essentially came down in free fall,” Sunder said in 2006.

At another point, Carlson referenced the detention of five Israelis who were later cleared of any involvement or knowledge in the attacks. “They were dancing around, sort of congratulating themselves,” Waters said.
The men were reportedly taking photos of themselves with the World Trade Center burning in the background. A New Jersey resident saw their behavior and reported it to the police. The five men were arrested at gunpoint that afternoon and later deported for immigration violations.
In the weeks following September 11, 2001, the FBI concluded that none of the five who were detained “had any information on prior knowledge regarding the bombing of the World Trade Center,” nor were they engaged in “clandestine intelligence activities in the United States.”
Other speakers invited to “Turning the Tide” have similarly expressed conspiratorial views about the 9/11 attacks.
The director of “9/11 Trillions: Follow The Money,” James Corbett; the author of “Loose Change,” Jason Bermas; the author of “The Call for Help : 911 the Other Side,” and 39 others are schedule to speak.
Corbett’s 2015 documentary claims that a spike in “put options” on United and American Airlines leading up to 9/11 proves that certain traders had prior knowledge of and profited from the attacks. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission began investigating the matter on September 12, 2001 and concluded there was no evidence that anyone who had advanced knowledge on the attacks traded on the basis of that information.
Another speaker, James Li, has recently branched out of 9/11 theories. His most recent documentaries on YouTube are titled, “They Aren’t Building AI Data Centers (It’s Way Worse),” “TPUSA 2.0: Why Charlie Kirk Had to Die (Allegedly),” and “Is Jared Kushner Mossad?”
The goals listed on the International Center for 9/11 Justice’s website include “organizing, preserving, and presenting the best empirical 9/11 research” and “raising mass public awareness and sparking broad-based demand for justice for the millions of people affected by 9/11 and its aftermath.”
