A Texas court sentenced eight individuals who were found guilty earlier this year of attacking a federal immigration facility in Texas to multiple decades in prison. Benjamin Song, the leader of the Antifa group, was sentenced to a century behind bars for his role in the attack on the Prarieland Detention Center in Alvarado last Fourth of July.<\/p>\n

The defendants, who were convicted on terrorism charges in March, set off fireworks and vandalized vehicles outside the detention facility and then opened fire on responding officers in what prosecutors described as a \u201cplanned ambush.\u201d<\/p>\n

Song, a former Marine who was convicted of shooting the police officer, received the longest sentence, followed by Maricela Rueda, who was sentenced to 70 years, and Autumn Hill, who was sentenced to 50 years along with Zachary Evetts, Savanna Batten, Meagan Morris, and Elizabeth Soto. Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada was sentenced to 30 years. The ninth member of the group, Ines Soto, is set to be sentenced on July 1.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege that all individuals are connected to Antifa, a decentralized far-left organization that President Trump designated as a domestic terrorist organization in 2025 shortly after the incident. The attackers drew on radical left ideology as they spray-painted police cars with \u201cICE pig\u201d and possessed flags that read \u201cFight Facism, Fight Oligarchy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Song and Hill lived in a house in Dallas with several trans-identifying left-wing activists who were part of a local Antifa cell, the Washington Post\u00a0<\/em>reported last year. Song leveraged his military and martial arts background to train his roommates and other Dallas Antifa members in close quarters combat, according to prosecutors. When police raided the house Song and Hill lived in, they recovered a cache of firearms.<\/p>\n

Song\u2019s attorney insisted outside the courthouse that \u201cit was never intended that anybody get hurt,\u201d the Associated Press reported.<\/p>\n
